Diane's Tablerunner

I had to an opportunity to work on Diane's table runner.  It will be the sample for one of her upcoming classes on needle turn applique.  She does beautiful work!!

So first I had to mark the table runner.  I made a little tutorial (subscription required) on how I did this over on my patreon page.  It was marked using my Big D ruler as well as Jessica's Orbiter (another of my favorite tools).

This is what it looked like after marking as I was preparing to baste it on the backing:

I began with the framework around the edges as well as the fills:

From there it was on to the ditch work... lots of ditchwork:

And then the center accent feathers and my signature fan fill for the background:

And one more peek at Diane's gorgeous applique!

So, remember, I share most of the detail stitching in videos as well as tips, tricks, tutorials, and whatever I might be working on over on my patreon page.  Yes, it is a subscription, it is a small monthly fee, and you can cancel at any time (but if you do you might miss something really fun).

Sheila's Raffle Quilt

Sheila's raffle quilt for the PSL Crazy Quilters is finished!  The pattern is Woodcarvers Star by Quiltworx/Judy Niemeyer.  Sheila chose a nice light cotton batting (perfect for SoFlo) -- who wouldn't want a chance to win this beauty!  As soon as I have ticket info I'll make sure to share it at the bottom of the post.  Or you can always check the show page on their website for more info.  Sorry about the photos, this is the best I can do as it's storming out (surprise)...

A couple of detail pics:

And a peek at the back:

A Day at the Beach!

Barb's raffle quilt for the Sunbonnet Sue Guild of Vero Beach is finished -- wouldn't you love to win this beauty! It is so Florida and conveys a true sense of a-day-at-the-beach, so it is aptly named!

I'm sure Barb had many wonderful ladies help her put this beauty together.  I'm pretty sure the show is in February of 2019 - you can contact Barb for ticket information.  Oh, and this beauty is a big one -- I had to fold over the top border for the picture as it was longer than my photo boards!

Some of the fabric truly led the path for my quilting -- for the shells on the inner border I traced each one adding some detail lines where necessary.  Also, the outer border where I added swirls along the fabric pattern to simulate water eddies.  The ladies choose some great fabrics for this quilt!  They didn't want the quilting super heavy -- sometimes that gets a little difficult when you're trying to create so much detail, but I think I managed okay.

Here are a bunch of detail pics:

Barbara's Quilt

Over the weekend I finished Barbara's quilt - such fun bright colors!

This was stitched using the Elevate -- Barbara wanted something super simple, the pattern used was Plumeria by Patricia Ritter, I think it worked perfectly!

Nancy's Bali Fever

Tonight I finished up Nancy's Bali Fever quilt (pattern by Quiltworx).  She wanted a simple edge-to-edge design so it was the Elevate to my rescue!

Another computerized E2E coming up later this week, and then a super amazing quilt that I can't wait to work on... you'll see them both soon!

I just finished Helen's latest quilt.  The pattern is Josephine's Knot by Debbie Maddy.  Unfortunately, the clouds weren't cooperating and the full photo isn't perfect, don't worry though, there are some detail pics.

And, of course, a peek the back:
