Lorraine's Aurora Quilt

I have finally, yes finally, finished Lorraine's Aurora quilt. It feels like this quilt has been on the frame for weeks. Not really, but with almost daily storm delays, it has been long overdue in being finished. Yes, I'm officially running about a week behind the already behind schedule -- that means I'm crazy behind now.

The pattern is by Jacqueline de Jonge - BeColourful.  Lorraine decided to use white as the entire background - I think it turned out stunning!  I used one layer of cotton batting as well as an additional layer of wool.

Sheila's Quilt Takes a Ribbon...

FIRST PLACE to be exact! Her amazingly beautiful Be Colourful quilt (pattern by Jacqueline de Jonge) took a First Place ribbon at the 21st Annual Suwannee River Quilt Show, Stephen Foster State Park, White Springs, FL. You can view the original post of her quilt here. I'll have to get a picture of Sheila with the quilt and ribbon and I'll be sure to post it. Congratulations Sheila, well done!

Be Colourful Quilt!

Here is Sheila's Be Colourful quilt (pattern by Jacqueline de Jonge) -- WOW! Sheila really did a fantastic job - great quilt! She wanted it quilted "heavily" to grab all those little edges and she's turning the edge for binding. I hope she likes it and I can't wait to see it once it's done!

I have a Jacqueline de Jonge pattern, it's the Circle of Life quilt... still not quite inspired enough to start it; but then again, I think I've got enough on my plate at the moment!
