Silk Ties and a Baby

Between life's little crazies and finishing up my pelican project, I did manage to squeeze in two quilts for Mary.

First is a quilt make from silk ties, with silk background - which explains all the shimmer in the not-so-great photos:

The back was an upholstery fabric (more shimmer):

And then a super cute baby quilt:

Joey's "HAPPY" quilt

Tonight I finished Joey's "Happy" quilt - I know, the lighting isn't the best, but it'll have to do. The pattern is Fresh Picked Posies by Piece O'Cake.

So here it is:

A little catch-up

So it's been raining all weekend - and you all know about me and quilting in the rain.  Because of all the rain I haven't been able to work on the client quilt that is on the frame so I decided I would share some of the beautiful *hush* projects I had quilted for RJR.  Since they are now public I'm going to assume they are safe for sharing (all appropriate links will be included). See, when I say I can't share now but will, I really do mean it!

We'll start with these beauties - the Lotus pattern by Jinny Beyer in two colorways. I quilted both of these and they are spectacular! The link to the kits can be found below the photo.

Here are a few pics while they were in my studio:

Then we have Cotton Candy done in beautiful handsprays (one of my favorite fabric lines):

And then the Fleurissant table runners in three colorways:

That's just some of them - there are still a few exclusives and catalog quilts that I am unable able to share, hopefully soon!

...and with that it has stopped raining and the sun is starting to show its face.  Off to catch up on quilting!

Jan's Silk Squares

A few days ago I finished Jan's silk squares quilt.  My weekend was packed full of fun so I'm just now getting around to posting it (sorry, but sometimes life gets in the way, in a good way).

Here's the finished quilt:

PSLCQ AHA Auction Quilt

The PSL Crazy Quilters Guild has their biennial show in February 2016, and it happens to coincide with National Heart Month as well as Wear Red Day.  So the guild has made three heart quilts to be auctioned off at the show. I was asked to quilt one of them.  Here are some pics - sorry about the pic quality, it is late, I am tired...
